Verden Auctions – The first stage of sports careers also leading towards the International Dressage and Show Jumping Festival

(Verden) The International Dressage and Show Jumping Festival in Verden is doubly of interest in two ways: International sport from August 3  - 7 on the one hand, Hanoverian Foal and Broodmare auction on August 5 and 6 on the other hand. The Verden auctions are regularly the stepping stone of promising careers. The Festival itself provides many examples for foals and horses who started their careers at one of the Verden auctions to then successfully continue in the dressage ring or show jumping arena.

Best examples
The Hanoverian mare Charmed (by Chacco-Blue/Plural) was sold at the Verden Elite Auction in 2012. She jumped a clear round in the opening test of the international medium tour with Markus Beerbaum and came in seventh. The former auction horse Bourbon, a Bonifatius/Don Vino-progeny presented by Christoph Kleinmeyer, convincingly won the second division of the elementary level dressage horse ability competition for five-year-old horses – opening test for the DKB Federal Championship-qualifier, with a final score of 8.3, thus easily managing the qualification.

Investments at the Verden auctions regularly turn out to be valuable for the future, a fact that is once again confirmed by the victory of the Hanoverian stallion Smirnoff (by Sir Donnerhall/Florencio I) who won the medium level dressage horse ability competition for six-year-old dressage horses with Manuel Bammel. Smirnoff was sold at the 2010 Elite Foal Auction in Verden and now returns to the International Dressage and Show Jumping Festival as extraordinary young dressage horse.

120 foals and broodmares in total will show up in the Verden auction arena on Friday and Saturday – promising opportunities for breeding and sport of thoroughly selected high quality. The auction of the futurity prospects starts at 6:00 pm on both days.
